1885 Barn in Pennsylvania filled with amazing art

In the middle of the barn, built in 1885 hangs a disco ball that fills the dark room with reflections of different colored lights. The barn was built and intended to store farm equipment, animals, and bales of hay. For over the first century of it's life, that is what it did. In the late 90's the farm and the barn were purchased by former city slickers, starting out their life in rural Pennsylvania. At first the city slickers tried to conform to what they thought they should do out in here in the country. They bought animals, cows, pigs, goats, and chickens and began to set up a homestead. It wasn't very long before the goats were standing on top of the cars, the chickens were running through the house, and the cows escaping to the neighbors. It wasn't as easy as it looked. After a valiant effort, the animals were rehomed and the barn sat empty.

After a few years, the city slickers grew lonely on their remote farm and wondered how they could fill their farm with laughter and music. They started a music festival and people came and listened to music each summer amidst the blue sky and the green grass. The old barn served as the stage for many different musical acts. The old wood captured the sound and let it filter in and out of it's planks. This music festival attracted many different artists and they would sit in front of the barn and listen to the music and paint and draw, or they would go home after their experience and put it to canvas. Over the past 10 years quite a collection was accumulating.

This is our anthology of artwork. It represents all of the many people that have stepped foot in the barn, the performers, the friends, and the family who have created this atmosphere of imagination and art.
