Scary Movie October: Halloween H2O
I will attempt to watch and do a short review of a scary movie every night throughout the rest of October.
Tonight I watched an old favorite of mine.
Halloween H2O.

I've seen every Halloween movie.
Some of them are great, some of them are terrible, some of them have continuity errors, some pretend events in the other movies don't happen, and some are just plain strange and shouldn't exist at all.
Halloween H2O is one of the better ones and I think it makes it into the top 5 Halloween movies.
Halloween H2O has a small list of characters.
The main two characters are of course Laurie Strode and Michael Myers played by Jamie Lee Curtis and some unknown guy.
Most of the Halloween series follows around these two characters or another family member.
There are a handful of other characters that you will recognize such as LL Cool J and Joseph Gordon Levitt.
There are also a lot of teenybopper characters because we were going through sort of a teenybopper phase at the movies during this period of time.
You might remember a bunch of movies like The Skulls and Disturbing Behavior.
I think we thought back then that most movies would better if they all included a bunch of very attractive and dumb teenagers but fortunately we got over that phase.
The most interesting thing about Halloween H2O is how short it is.
Weighing in at only one hour and 26 minutes or 86 minutes it barely has time to start before it finishes.
That's a good thing because it never gets bogged down in any one time frame.
There is the brief setup where our characters are establishing themselves as being at a boarding school.
Then we see that Michael Myers is headed over there and before long and there is a giant killing spree.
The action never stops and never slows down.
This entire movie is just about action, action, action, and I love that.
To tell the truth this is a very simple movie.
It doesn't need to be complex either so I'm glad they didn't decide to try to make it that way.
Halloween H2O is a great choice.
