Beginner Guide to the 7 Chakras-- Introduction
When it comes to this Universe and the way we go about determining who we are or what "this" is, it is often difficult to come to an exact conclusion. Discovering the differences between race, culture, and religion, the line between what we are and the beliefs or opinions that stand out or come with the religion are continuously blurred. Nonetheless, one thing that cannot be denied regardless of religion or belief, is the fact that this Universe consists of energy, lots of energy.. and our bodies (as humans), are no exception.
Before science and modern technology existed, ancient beings (specifically regarding Indian beliefs) ascertained that all living beings, no matter the being, carried a life force with them; in this case, the word Chakra is what they referred to when speaking of such forces. Translating the word chakra itself and recognizing that the translation literally means wheel, the word Chakra became known as any center in our body which energy can flow through. The life force inside each and every being, specifically humans, is continuously moving-- like a spinning wheel, rotating at every second.
We now know that a Chakra is not just energy, but rather a center(s) within ourself that allows this energy to flow freely and consciously from one frequency to another; however, the belief is that we not only have one Chakra, but seven aligned Chakras that concern separate parts of our body, and seven aligned Chakras that affect and reflect different emotional, physical, and mental states in our life. Starting from the bottom of tailbone and working your way up to the top of the head, each individual Chakra represents a psychological property within the body. In a "healthy person", each of the seven Chakras are balanced, sending the right amount of energy to your body, mind, and soul. Then again, if one of your Chakras is "off", say "spinning" too quickly or spinning too slowly, your health (in any area listed above), can be affected negatively.
Learning about the seven Chakras will bring about more ways of connecting with yourself physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually, while also allowing you to become more in tune with the natural energies/cycles of your body and of this world.
Rather than making this most obnoxiously long, attempting to explain an already difficult subject, for the next seven days, I will be posting about each chakra, independently, and giving "need to know" details of each. Details such as what color the chakra is, what the chakra represents, what it affects/does not affect, the meaning behind one vs. the other, the healing of such chakra, and so on. For some, this may seem like an odd topic, for others, it may be captivating; no matter what your viewpoint may be, it doesn't hurt to take a step back and observe other beliefs, especially when it comes to YOU as a living entity.
Listed above are the seven Chakras and a sneak peak of what's to come within the next few days. ;]
