@JACOBTS is Teaching Comedia del Improv Classes in St Louis
I am delighted to announce my upcoming Comedia del Improv class hosted by The Improv Shop in St Louis Missouri! Saturdays January 13 & January 23. 11am-2pm.
I have mentioned in a previous post my thoughts on the wonderful art of Improv and its ancestor, Comedia del Arte. I have been working on an idea for a class that explores the ancient craft of commedia and how it relates to today's improv. And I am happy that little ol idea is coming to fruition. It took a lot of thought, writing, corresponding, timing, and patience for this to happen and I want to thank The Improv Shop for their help along the way. I am humbled and honored to be contributing my 25 years of page & stage, my 17 years of improv experience to their Continued Education Series.
The price has not been determined, but it will sell out. So interested students should be closely following The Improv Shop's facebook and twitter for admission. There will be a prerequisite. But I believe this is just the beginning, this class will be offered again, so if you are new to improv please keep taking classes. If you have any interest in learning improv, o it, take a class, it can be an infinitely rewarding experience. And one of the best places one can learn improv itself is in St Louis at The Improv Shop. They are committed to their community and continue to bring integrity & innovation to the improv experience. St Louis has a low cost of living, plenty of jobs and opportunities with startups and in tech, and has a rich diversity of communities and entertainments. It's a great place to raise a family. And it's a great place to hunker down and learn improv at one of the nation's finest theaters and learning institutions.

~Weave lessons learned back into contemporary approach to scene work.
