Life as an Artist #1: Visual Graphics Design Student PART 3

Here we go again, for this particular part of my story I'll be sharing you about our activity, Packaging Design and Foodcart Design.

This activity took a lot of time to create, the packaging in particular, for it has to be researched well and not resulting to putting things together without connection.

So for the Packaging Design Activity, it consist of 3 fold brochure, advertising poster and of course the packaging itself, on this activity, we are going to incorporate our logo design, for it will help us lessen the time that we need to finish the job.
So I decided that my Coffee shop should have instant coffee mix just to make way for our activity haha.

It was as if I am actually mixing my coffee, I've done research for the type of coffee I'm going to put its ingredients on,
and this is the result, the KAPENALIG 8 in 1 coffee mix!

this is what I want my packaging to be, a bit of dark brown with a mixture gold touch on it,

That was the finished product should be, but there's a whole bunch of composition happened on the process, this is the layout that actually contains the information and what needs to be seen or observed to be able to produce the actual packaging without errors, as our instructor taught us, in the printing job, an error can waste a lot of money and time.

This is actually what I submitted to our instructor, so you can see that there's labels in it, that is what we are studying for, the elements in making packaging design.

3 Fold Brochure is a part of this activity, and this particular element consist of detailed information about our product, so a lot of research effort has been done, and this are the result,

you can only imagine how much effort we put on this activity,

Of course as an artist we would like to see what it would look like if it's actually printed and folded, so we made a Mockup for it,

This time we are to create a way to promote our product, advertising poster is a must. On this part, we should use our imagination, like putting ourselves into someone elses boot, what do we want others to see if we are actually selling them coffee that should be able to suit their taste, so I came up with this,

my idea why I put a female model on it, is to portray that my coffee is not so barbaric enough that a lady can't drink it haha, and also we should put the tag line for our coffee to be remembered easily.

Moving forward to our Foodcart Design, which involves perspective, because of course we should be able to see it in a way it should be projected when its done, so this activity has a lot of imagination involved.

to start with, we are to make the Wrap, this are the thing that we are going to wrap around the booth, it contains creative representation of our product, that should be able to make the unsuspecting customer drool over what's inside, haha

I know you expected my primary product which is KAPENALIG to appear haha. This is actually our projected sister company for retailing products.

And this is what it should look like on an actual production of the foodcart,

believe it or not, these are all made using Photoshop, by that time I still don't know how to use any other editing platform aside from photoshop, so many trial and error has been done before I achieved this kind of result.

Persistence and motivation is a key factor for reaching the heights you want to achieve, because stopping half way the finish line is a lot worse than not doing it at all. Expectation can be crucial to anybody who might put their trust in you, so when you start something, make sure you'll be able to see it through, that's the best thing you can give back to those who will be there by your side when walking the same path you chose to accept.
