Happenings on Heather's Homestead - A Club House and a Dance

Back in December, we ordered a 10x6 "playhouse" from Jamco in Seymour, MO for our youngest daughter as a Christmas/Birthday gift. Well, after two months they finally got it finished and delivered it just the other day.

That thing is sturdy. After the Bear grows out of having a club house, I get to take it over for whatever I want. It will probably be a craft studio for me.

In other news, our middle child, Jojo Bean, went to a Valentine dance at our local youth center! She borrowed a dress from my mom (I don't wear dresses...I never have a reason to), and had me straighten her hair. She even wore a little make-up and did a good job not globbing it on!

Jojo reported that the dance was a very good time. She even danced with a young man who was a visiting cousin of one of her friends. I was really proud of her for acting so grown up and not blowing this chance for us to trust her.

So that's what's been up with us for the last few days. I planted some eggplant, got caught up on laundry (for about 3 seconds), worked a day at my mom's upholstery shop, and have kept the house relatively clean and fur-free...which is close to impossible with 5 people and 9 dogs. I've also found time to write in my journal, draw, and wire wrap more pendants for sell in a possible etsy shop. We will see. I'm really anxious about it. I worry that people will be dissatisfied with my work. It makes me very nervous.
