Day 8- Slimming challenge

How I feel today?
-Tired and fatigued which stops me from doing activities I like. I had to force myself to go to the gym. I am glad I went because I could get my fave protein bars from vending machine😂😂

  • My hunger signals are out of place. Basically, I ate every 2h😬

  • I don’t remember doing some of the exercises at the gym today😬

  • I have completed only half of my tasks today because it’s hard to focus.

  • I get irritated quickly😖

Scientists proved that we need at least 7h sleep to maintain our health. I discovered through years that I need at least 8h to function properly the next day!

The reason why I am writing about this?

I can see how many are struggling with cravings and hunger pangs (Including me) blaming all sort of things but half of those could be solved just by extra an hour or 2 sleep!

Tomorrow is my rest day, I will not go gym and not interested in any activities if I am honest😉

I had a nice weight lifting workout today followed 30 min of brisk walking.
All together did 15000 steps but I didn’t like how I had to push myself to do all this!

I neglect sleeping on regular basis!
This really affects my mental wellbeing and food choices!
I used to completely ignored advice given by my own trainers about sleeping more.

My reply to this advice was: “I will sleep when I am dead”🤦‍♀️

Now, 7 years wiser, I can see the difference between 7h ,8h or 9h sleep!

Last 3 nights I have slept less than 7h because world around me is so interesting and I want to learn all about it! I have so much to read and plan🧐😁

I fall asleep around midnight, waking up at 3am because my brain tells me that i have “received” a large delivery. That “delivery” is actually the river of thoughts about everything!

“Did you ring your mum today?” Yes!

“What’s for dinner tomorrow?” REALY??! At 3 am??!!!

“Did you read that latest research about Mediterranean diet?” Shut up!

“Did you feed the dog?” I don’t have a f.....g dog😂

It’s hard to stop this but luckily I only need about 10 min to fall back sleep and many of us need more time than this!
I wake up at 6:30am to start my daily responsibilities. That is 6,5 an hour sleep!😳 This happened to me for past 3 nights!

Every time we are sleep-deprived, brain will release chemicals to signal hunger. This can lead to eating more, exercising less, and gaining weight!

Easy done if you just had a newborn baby🤱🍼🍼

If I don’t get my sleeping patterns sorted ,I am expecting serious slip ups soon, involving food😁

Sleep really is of vital importance and few people realise this. If anything, I'm really thankful to be a solid sleeper who never wakes up during the night. Sleeping alone helps in this regard :)

I've been on somewhat of a roller coaster myself this month trying to get my routine right, it's always nice to see others blogging about their goals and progress.

After 4 nights of little sleep I finally got one night good solid 8h tonight😉
Now I need to make this habit! I blame steemit😂It’s hard to put my phone down when I am here 😳

Steemit can be quite addictive :)

You might try keeping a sleep diary, This really helped get a very tight sleep routine usually always going to bed at the same time and waking up after at least 7 hours of sleep. I used to go to sleep quite late and get out of bed after 10:30 in the past.
