The Origin of ANTIFA and Internet Street Violence Culture

in #life6 years ago

I bet you thought World Star Hip Hop was the first to bring the beat down culture to the masses, but unfortunately, I'm sorry to say they were about 10 years late to this peculiar and brutal party.

I'm sure people have been filming home movies of themselves attacking people in the streets since camcorders were invented, but it did take a certain kind of person, one who has been kicked in the head more than a few times I'd say, to post those videos publicly.

Enter The Boston Beatdown videos, a mix of brutal, knockout street fights and concert footage centered around the music scene here in the area. Does that sound familiar?
Please take caution when you watch all of the following videos, they all have graphic depictions of real life violence. I think ignoring this will not due though, it is a major part of what is going wrong with our society today and we need to learn from our mistakes instead.

The people of FSU should be known as the father of ANTIFA and we need to give them credit for spreading their violent ideology of hating anyone outside their group and justifying it by labeling everyone outside their own as Nazis.

I have to fair about this, there really was a skinhead culture here in Boston and they really did start out fighting actual Neo-Nazis on the floors of clubs back in the 80s. From what I can tell that was a real problem and needed to be done too. The interesting thing to mention though is the these skinheads were just as abused and ostracized by the same society that drove the hate of FSU, it can be said they were just the opposite side of the same coin. Now that I have taken a step back to get a better look at things, I see both gangs as lost boys lashing out at a society that they feel is against them.

I do not sympathize with either faction here though, these young men are dishing out all of the abuse they received growing up on each other and no one really wins. The cycle of pain has continued now that the boys these men have raised are out fighting under different flags but are one and the same despite having slightly different tattoos. Both sides have the next generation ready to keep the war in the streets going and this is why we have groups like ANTIFA feeling justified in their actions.

If you watch the videos provided you will absolutely see how the children of the violent men in my generation have created the next soldiers. If the clip above is not for you please watch the History Channel documentary about FSU. I withdrew from the society here so I missed when it first aired, can you blame me, and had no idea that the group had relabeled themselves as Friends Stand United until recently. I thought they had gone away but it seems they put on a new mask and went national instead.

There is a very important reason as to why I am so opposed to this group despite the actions they took to rid the music scene of skinheads. All of those events concluded before I was of age to go into these clubs but FSU remained and turned their aggression on everyone that didn't fall in line with them.

After this group had succeeded in their mission to get the extremists out of the pit, they became the same as the extremists they had promised to eradicate. Their ideology became doctrine and they needed an enemy, it didn't matter who it was. These people decided to attack someone at every show and if there wasn't a person acting out, they would just swarm a person smoking a cigarette outside the club under the flag of keeping poison away from their brothers. Straight Edge became a call to battle and everyone was now a target. Think about it, how many people self medicate in some way or have a few bad habits? I'd say almost everyone in the world has some self destructive hobby, these guys have multiple concussions and may not be able to understand that they are worse than most when it comes to masochism though.

When everyone with a bad habit can be a target, no is safe. There were no skinheads to mess with me at the metal show I'll grant, but there were these guys instead and they tormented many people with their gang beatdown tactics. That's all I ever saw with my eyes, people jumping on people and only winning because of their sucker punch lead in and 10 to 1 gang style fighting. No matter what the origins of FSU were they have lost any creditability at this point.

When you see a man in a mask jump out of a crowd and smash an unsuspecting victim in the head with a bike lock do you say, wow look at that brave warrior or do you see it as a shameful act done by a coward?

Bottom line is that this horrible nonsense needs to stop but it seems to be getting worse. What I have seen tells me this is uncontrolled hate and it will end badly as it always does. If a group like this is left to grow it always becomes the very thing they hate, no one can control a fire like this once it has been started. Take a look at what this Straight Edge crew became.

So much for standing up to thugs, keeping the scene clean and "building brothers".

It's not just the satellite gangs that become as bad as the people they were formed to fight in the first place.

I hope I was able to convince you that this part of our country's history is very important and needs to be addressed. I'm about to put this behind me and leave the area but I see this ideology in places where it does not belong. I want to draw a comparison to the first video above and how things looked in the beginning of this movement to how the next generation has interpreted the movement with this next clip. Cultural appropriation comes in many forms but it usually looks as silly as it is horrifying and upsetting.

As painful as it is to watch these clips and films it really needs to be done if we are to put a stop to this. The only way to break the cycle of hate that leads to these kinds of groups being formed is to ridicule them and show the world we are not afraid of them. It is the fear that these gangs provoke that draws in new members, those who have been abused and want the false protection being offered by these fake tough guys. A great amount of men will choose to be feared rather than live in fear and it gives evil men power if they do not see any other choice and may not see any other path to respect if we don't help them first. We don't have to take sides either, it is easy enough to prove both sides are fools in this fight I would say.

Keep an eye on this because the FSU gang founders have gone mainstream and have been hiding in plain sight. Elgin James has an IMDb page and the MSM and film/television industry think he is just swell. I believe in reform and second chances but all this man seems to want to do is keep spreading the gang culture that we brain damaged Bostonians started. I think producing shows like The Mayans only adds glory to these gangs and doesn't do anything to resolve things but I am willing to hold out hope. Time will be the ultimate judge of this though so we shall have to wait and see if his intentions are pure or not.

We absolutely have to learn the lessons of our past to understand the present time we are in so I thank you from my heart if you put the time into this post, I know I asked a lot. If you do know a someone who is coming of age and thinking about taking up this fight, for either faction, please show them this post in the hope they will see the truth of things and stay off the street.

Thanks again for reading, have a great day.
