A+ Treasure Hunting Day! Thrift Store Silver & Gold Finds, Part 7
Some days you can feel it in the air :)
I usually don't get too many good things from Goodwill but today was the exception. The Sterling cup and serving tray were found amongst 50+lbs of silverplated items I bought to reverse electroplate. It was so tarnished that I thought everything was sterling for a second, but these were the only two. This Gorham Sterling serving spoon was found in the 10 cent silverware bin at my local thrift store.
How about 79.91g of unprocessed Sterling jewelry! (66.92g when processed)
And a heck of a score on 14k gold!
The two 14k gold rings even had real diamonds in them. I haven't had them appraised yet, but they are high-quality diamonds that register at the very top of my tester.
I found my first Buffalo nickle while coin roll hunting and then found this little money clip with a nice 1937 Buff.
I was feeling super lucky so I headed over to my LPS and found this cool 1oz round for just over spot.
Altogether, it took about 3 hours of my time from start to finish. Not a terrible way to spend your morning before clients start calling. I'll post more items as I find them so stay tuned.
Damnn that is a good day's work, 14k gold is a very good pickup. Nice work man.
