Adaptability - Act 13 part 1 - survival

The need to keep creating novel solutions to survival threats may of stimulated the growth of our large energy hungry brains. The Earth's climate has been increasingly erratic since our early ancestors, (hominids) first emerged around 5 million years ago. The landscapes we lived in, changed dramatically in cycles lasting for hundreds of thousands of years, deserts were replaced with forest, which in turn were replaced by grasslands, rich with herds and predators.

Our species has endured ice ages and learned to populate deserts. We have developed unique skills and ways to cooperate, combine and exchange the goods and services provided by those skills.

Where it is common to see an entire species adapt into a unique niche of opportunity. Within our species, each individual can become highly specialised and even multi-disciplinary. We have taken on the biological advantage of adaptability itself. In doing so we both create and remove niches of opportunity.

We do this at a rate that is much faster than our ability to comprehend long term costs and benefits. We can build amazing and new “things” but we can not replace what we lose in the process.

We are extremely malleable, we can tune our attention to solving totally different types of problems. We can become extremely sensitive to small variations in sound, colour, pressure, light, taste and even smell. The physical tasks we can adapt our physiology to are wide and varied, as are the different aptitudes for being able to solve abstract or thought problems.

As a species, our biological advantages come from working in large groups,(systems design) and using tools. Our individual biological advantage is our adaptability, which is governed by our sensitivity and ability to move well.

We are adapting it for own comfortability but sometimes to become more comfort we are going to destroy our nature value but we have to pay the disadvantage of our mistake ,it will be so dangerous in future ,i saying only that if we can live with less comfort as people living many years ago so why we are going to be harass our nature .

yes your English is a little difficult to follow, but I think you are touching on the heart of the matter.

Its not what we feel, but how we feel about what we are feeling.
Life and death is a cycle, we can see it repeating all around us.
Some of it is very pleasurable, some damn fucking heart rending
However, when we squeeze down on the flow, to hold or to prevent - all we do is create swelling and a less than equitable distribution.

If we can learn to simply feel what is, without clinging, then the bad times pass quickly with less pain and we remain fully alive to the good times.

Yes...u right ,we are indian facing little problem in english but its ok ,because we fluent in own national language .absolutely right you got my points .
More comfortable means we are destroying our as i am science student so i m very well known about ozone layer ,in near future it will be huge problem for all of us.

Most of us are mainly concerned with meeting our family obligations, there is not much energy left after doin that. Life is expensive and there is much competition for resources.

Ironically it is relaxation rather than stress that brings out my best. I may work harder when stressed, but I see more clearly when relaxed.

Seeking comfort is the desire to step out of stress. Wether into pleasure or just to peace is a personal choice. It is obviously much harder to hit pleasure gaols than to simply accept being alive in the current situation.

The more we try to move towards comfort or pleasure by controlling what nature is doing, the more we have to compete for "her" bounty.

The more structure we add, the more we must learn to tune ourselves to structure rather than nature.

For our biology, this will never really make sense as we are organic by nature, whereas our structures are synthetic.

I guess a move towards greater biomimicry in our structures could be good. More softness, more responsiveness and more respect for how nature operates will be interesting.

Crypto is a move away from centralisation, which is why it is appealing to so many.

Intelligence of human bit every odds

Well I hope so, our greatest challenge will be to beat the odds that we created. We successfully adapted to everything that nature threw at us, but can we survive what we throw at each other - synthetic control systems?

If humans don't beat that than the natural disasters have to takeover humanity.
Here one more than human over cope up with nature but they will never control it

I appreciate what you wrote concerning how a singer, hunter and novelist adapt it really taught me alot concerning human nature .
