Success or Failure
How do you define your success or failure? In the eyes of others or by your own yardstick? Everyone looks at their successes and failures very differently.
Time doesn't stand still when we succeed or fail and unless we have any specific objectives it's hard to say where we failed or when we were successful. You need to be able to have a goal from which to measure how near or far you are from it.
If you base your success or failure on the words of the society you'll never find yourself at peace even if you find success in anything you do.
Does the words of people around you affect the way you go about achieving your goals? It shouldn't but we can't help it sometimes if people help us with their optimism or pull us down with pessimism as is the case most of the time.
Focus on what you need to do, lay down the steps, climb one at a time and you'll get there eventually.
Everything else is simply noise.
However, it's important to constantly improve your knowledge. It's also very important that we surround ourselves with people who are realistic but also optimistic and will guide you properly towards your goals.
But most importantly listen to your gut and work hard towards your goals everyday. It's okay if they seem unrealistic at first. Once you lay down a plan to achieve them, it'll seem a lot easier. You will gain confidence when you see it work as you go.
Don't let people or circumstances pull you down. That's all part of life in a society. Work around these situations if they aren't in your control and things will be okay.
Just a few thoughts in my head after a conversation with my friend on dealing with failure and success and the importance of staying true to your goals by staying focused on the short term objectives as one tries to reach their bigger goals.

Agree and a valid point to live your life your way. We should not let our life to be influenced by others...except in case when we took some one as an idol.
