Just wanted to take a minute during these trying times to be thankful that so far, We've gotten through this crisis. There has been no overall breakdown of society, no mindless looting or violence. My fellow humans have stood up in a very kind and selfless manner, while putting the naysayers to rest.

I'm seeing more sharing than I ever thought possible. People are checking in on their neighbors and friends, even if it's with a quick phone call or an inquiring email. I was able to provide masks to someone who had none, and shared food as well. You know that old saying? "There but for the grace of God, go I."

The return of nature

Have you noticed the animal life coming back? Watching scenes of these majestic creatures exploring abandoned cityscapes, brings hope that we can find a way to give them the space they need to survive and thrive when this trial is over. Clean waters in Venice, crystal-clear skies over India allowing for an incredible view of distant mountains for the first time in ages, without the ravages of air pollution. I think the planet is speaking to us, giving us a glimpse of the possibilities of change.

It's also been really heartening to see the support given to those brave workers on the front lines. The ones showing up every day and helping to save lives. While we mourn those we've lost, the hope is that the lessons learned will carry forward and help equip us for the next time. I know we can all stick together and help each other get through this, with peace, love and respect for one another.
