Indeed and hopefully many teachers specially those working with kids would realize that children are like empty vessels, whatever is put in them - molds them into becoming, some teachers are like the 1st one you mentioned - they teach for the monthly wage - and it's a sad fact because specially if you're an elementary teacher - whatever and however you taught a child plays a major role in building that child's foundation in order to succeed in the future.

exactly .. every individual you get to work with becomes a puzzle to solve - it's not just shrinks or psychiatrists who read people .. as a matter of fact - perhaps, sometimes just unconsciously, we actually all do ..
