Why Planning is Important

The word plan means the same thing as blueprint,design, project, strategy, an outline or a sketch. For our purpose, a plan refers to a set of things to do in order to achieve something, especially something that has been considered in detail in advance.
Planning is important, for you to succeed in everything that you do. This is why it is commonly said that "a student, who fails to plan, has planned to fail." In your planning, set measurable and achievable goals for yourself and be determined to follow the plan that you have set out to achieve.
Your plan will only succeed if it is backed up with efforts. For example, a student, the effort could be reading, learning, critical thinking, problem solving, communication and commitment. Similar effort is required in every endeavor of life one needs to succeed.
