As a seaman, I think this quote is just on point. The sea is never meant to be smooth sailing if you are to come out as an experienced sailor. The roughness of the sea is usually the test that a sailor needs to become good and strong enough to navigate and carry out his duties.
Do not worry about the roughness of the sea because, it is in place to ensure and guarantee you get schooled the right way. As the seas are rough so also the streets we tread on daily. There are difficulties created to become a stepping stone to the man who has the ability to persevere and follow through with the course of life that stares us right in the eyes in the form of challenges.
Sailors get excited at the prospect of a rough sea and that is because, there is a learning curve for them and they go all out blazing not minding the fails that roars at them. Stay focused and follow through the lessons irrespective of the harshness it comes with.
