The problem with Conspiracy Theories, to me is the way the words are used. Ever since the beginning of the 20th Century when the phrase came into common usage, the meaning has been dumbed down to now where, in a great many instances, it is nothing more than gossip wrapped in 'acceptable gloss'. It is often bar chat from the man with the prominent chest.
The vast majority of perpetrators will repeat what they last heard and add a little of their own spin as if to make them feel they own their own bullshit and hence try to believe it.
Many conspiracy theories have been found to be true. They often seem to involve governments and their officers! How very strange.
