Day 2 Of Our Road Trip - Kingdom City, Missouri -> North Platte, Nebraska
I'll keep this short and sweet...
...it's been a long day.
In my last post I showed how our road trip was going from Tennessee to Idaho. We were behind for a bit, and today we didn't get anymore ahead. We headed out around 9am, and at 10:30pm we finally called it a day. We made it from Kingdom City, Missouri to North Platte, Nebraska which is about an 8 and 1/2 hour drive. Sadly pulling the trailer has slowed us down a lot, plus yesterday's snow storm. it may end up being a 5 day trip rather than 4 day, we will see.
We passed through Kansas City shortly after we left this morning. The amount of potholes was ridiculous.
We passed through Iowa for a brief moment, but it looked like the other states we've driven through so far...fields.
We really haven't seen any sites or real beauty yet. To sum up Nebraska: you see corn and smell cows for miles and miles...and miles. We are having fun, and we're looking forward to hitting Wyoming and Montana to see some beauty! Then when we're on the mountains i'll be wishing I was driving on flat land again, lol!
