HardFork Series DIRECTOR'S JOURNAL - Vol 1
Yesterday was our first day of shooting the teaser trailer for @HardFork-Series. It was incredibly fulfilling to finally get our amazingly talented star, Christopher James Baker , @bakerchristopher, fully geared up with his tracking mark tattoos and costume, as we put the finishing touches on militarizing Clarice his incredible robot co-star. A HUGLEY collaborative day ensued. And in my humble opinion... the first scenes we got in the can are magic!
With casting continuing and much main-unit pre-production on the way, this was a second unit "splinter" shoot day, but that didn't stop us from running the hazer (fancy word for smoke machine) so intensely that the New York City Fire Department showed up thinking we were burning down the residential building we were filming in.
(Thanks for being cool, super nice fireman!)
Despite that, we got even more camera setups than we planned, and the level of dystopian cinematic glory is beyond my expectations.
My heartfelt thanks to everyone in the Steemit community for believing in us, supporting us, and helping us get this far, this quickly! And gigantic thanks to the rest of the incredible HardFork Series team who were there on our first day in decentralized spirit @ericvancewalton, @the-alien, @andrarchy, @skycorridors, @nickytothenines, thank you for everything you're making happen!
And now that we're off to the races, there's no turning back. Tonight is our first night of filming with the fabulous Naomi Brockell , @skycorridors. Can't wait!
Also wanted to extend a huge thanks to the community for all the appreciation and support on the SMT Animation Video! Such an exciting development and it was a thrill to play some small part in the excitement around it!
