Human Destiny

in #life8 years ago

While watching a very smart man discuss the origins of humanity he used the phrase “Humanity has it’s destiny”. is it possible for a group to have a destiny when very few individuals accept a personal one. Can ‘free will’ exist at a micro level but be absent for all of humanity? a1drjohnthumb.JPG

Personally, I have no strong objections to having a destiny. I make decisions every day that are based on reactions and preferences. My sense of control is low. Life happens to me.

Others obviously have different opinions. I know people who enjoy their control fantasies. In my youth, I would argue the point of control. Those days are gone, because the subject offers no winner.

If we look at the future of humanity, there seems to be a reasonable chance that some cosmic event could destroy everything.

The question then becomes can WE avoid it. The word destiny implies there is no escape.

Will my day ever come... am I doomed to be a poor fat loser?

Time will tell, but until I can no longer move I will continue to try...

Here is today’s beauty.
