Romania, National Day!

Did you hear about Romania? May you let me a comment with what you know about it?

As @alinamarin already mention in her article "Happy birthday, Romania" Today it's Romania's National Day. But, I'm sure there are few people who know something about Romania. For this reason I decide to make a small research to find out most known things about Romania.

Romania, it's a medium country from East-Europe. It has almost the same are as United Kingdom according to wikipedia.

1. Dracula castle

Probably the most known thing about Romania it's the Dracula Vampire myth who lived in Transylvania, Bran Castle. This was subject for some movies starting from 1922.
Nosferatu (1922) was first movie made by Friedrich Wilhelm Murnau based on Dracula book written by Bram Stoker in 1897.
Dracula (1931) was second movie made by Tod Browning based on the same book, Horror of Dracula (1958) etc. And at this moment I think are over 30 movies about Dracula.

2. Transfagarasan Road

Top Gear declare Transfagarasan road one of the best road to test their super-cars. The Transfagarasan road cuts through the heart of the Carpathian’s and is packed with scenic views and curves.

3. Nadia Comaneci

Nadia Comaneci was the first to achieve perfection and get the first score of 10 in the history of gymnastics at Olympics in Montreal (1976). She was only 14 years old when reached that performance. The scoring displays could only display three-digit grades (0.00 to 9.99 but not a 10.00). You can read more details here.

4. Bigar waterfall

Bigar waterfall was voted one of the beautiful waterfalls in the world. I was there and I really liked it, but I'll let you to judge if it's right or not. :)

5. Palace of Parliament

Located in Bucharest, is the second largest building in the world, next only to the Pentagon in the United States.
