What is wrong with our society today?
The human race must fight… for each other!
With the divide in this world growing each day. Can we not see ourselves in others? We all want comfort and love. To laugh and play; To live life in abundance. Don't we all shiver when it's cold? Don't we all cry when we were babies? Don't we all breathe the same air? Share the same floating rock?
People simply ignore the fire in the basement because they live in the attic. This seems so foolish when put in this context, why don't we see it foolish when it comes to the entire planet?
Yeah man, it's tough. I think there are two theories here. One is that we all have to take accountability for ourselves which then leads to a vast mutual understanding and action. The other is that the leaders of politics, science, and culture need to make a stronger push to influence people with less willpower. A hybrid of these two things would be ideal, but I don't think most people really want to take the time to think. It's much easier to follow a consensus than question it openly and intelligently.

I'd say people are just selfish as the main problem.
I think the whole, " out of sight, out of mind" comes to play when ignoring major world issues.
