For me sometimes is the same, when I am trying a new thing I want to do it 100% correct, and when I don’t I feel disappointed. But this realization you are talking about I believe comes with age.
I mean, eventually we will realize that it’s normal to make mistakes, and it’s normal to do them a lot, so we end up accepting the humbling fact that we are people with weakness, once we accept that, we can start to work in order to overcome them.
I think you're very right there - I didn't begin to realise this until well into my 30s :)
