Steemit is fast turning into a place for celebrity worship, celebrities which I must remind you all, have social media managers to help them out. At this rate, steemit is going to become a hub for celebrity hangout, making millions just for saying
''hey, am a celebrity, worship my a*s''
The death of steemit.
This attitude isnt extended to courtneywarner account alone, o no my friends, there are businesses using the opportunity to make millions, and how will the general minnows react if such attitude continue?
Competitors arnt sleeping
Steemit admins, and steemians in general must be aware of the fact that people are always watching. Competitors will spring up, and if steemit does indeed decide to forget about the average minnow supporting and spreading steemit on the daily, a competitor will rise which does what steemit wont do.
A warning of the future to come
I am in no way saying that courtney warner is bad, or doesnt deserve the cash
but In a place where the admins actively support division of people into groups, the rich and the poor, the needed and the dust(think you're important to steemit?, think again, we all minnows are dust), I believe a competitor will rise, and steemit will fall.

With the way things are, Im already setting my eyes on the next project after steemit. Ive been reading up on this, and it seems its going to be what steemit isnt, a true social media for the masses.
Who am I?
My introduction post barely fetched me a dollar, I'm not famous, Im not the girlfriend/boyfriend of an actor/actress, im not a celebrity, Im not an a** licker who begs for upvotes from the mighty whales, I'm an average Joe.
Im currently working 2 jobs, one on weekends, one night job.
Im someone who wants steemit to be fair and grow. If steem is to push through to 10 dollars, the policies need to be reviewed. The minnows make 80% of steemit, yet earn less than 25 % of the money.
I do agree that the distribution is a bit lopsided but you have to understand that this is iccuring across all of cryptospace. . . .so to speak. The best bet for anyone seriously contemplating making money on steemit is to buy steem power. Steem is currently running at 1.8 dollars , so its a good opportunity to buy into steem now.
Nice job by the way, continue to promote steem on the dark side.

And once you start involving money it's quite likely it will eventually turn into some Pareto like distribution, even if it starts off equal, i think.
I see where you're coming from. You may be vindicated knowing that I myself put up a post, but it didn't see the kind of reaction that other celebrities get. I am fine with that. This platform is about providing an opportunity to everyone, and if I wasn't on board with that I wouldn't have signed up!
I am just being myself, no manager here, and you're very hard working yourself. I've seen other high impact users who were not famous, but put in a ton of effort to get to an incredible level on steemit. There is potential for all of us.
O yeah, hard work and consistency is key, I know that, really, I want steemit to grow, Im hard hitting because there needs to be someone that does the dirty work, the critic, the whistle blower if you can call it that. Its simply to put the admins on alert, not to get too comfortable.

Dont worry, you dont really have a problem on steemit, im surprised your first post didnt make an impact.
Consistency is key here, just keep posting about your works, and youll soom start raking in some good cash. other guys i know are @adamhole @dreamrafa amongst others!
Thanks for the advice - and I do have a lot of stuff that I think will be interesting to share, but I am posting comments and going to develop my account first so I can understand the website further before I start going full with regular posts.

Lol, celebrities are people too. If you feel steemians should stop the celebrity worship then that's fine. But we are humans, and as long as people haven't stopped it on twitter and the likes, this place WILL be a hub for celebrities to make a lot of free cash. Imagine the kardashians coming into steemit.:)
Make friends, make money, keep up and be consistent in any work you're doing here. Joinup with groups and you'll start seeing results.

Thanks chief, I hope many see the light in this current situation. Steemit does not support censorship, but i do wonder where the line for bad content is drawn.
Followed. Steem on. Believe in yourself. Find your balance. I too am in the middle of a transition from difficult old world trappings and moving into more steemit. Family I love, but it is hard to care for the elderly. Motorcycles I love, but sales is soul sucking. Improv I love, but no money never. Someday I just want to give a buddy a ride to the airport in a car I own and host friends at a meal. Time will tell. May all your goals come true. Be well. Be blessed. Remember to build on your positives. Focus less on the negatives unless you must face them each day. Fear not those who guilt you and say you should be doing more. You are where you are supposed to be. You have come this far. You will get where you are going.
