I Hate to Power Down But Sadly I Must
I have started to power down for only a few weeks. I am suffering from back pains (softened by painkillers) since December that have started to numb the lower areas of my spine to my legs starting last month. I cannot even move my legs a little to perform simple tasks like crawling to the bathroom when needed. My former classmate, now a doctor, advised me to get an MRI scan.
MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) scans as part of medical check-up tests cost nearly $200 in my country. I hate to power down but my savings aren't enough to cover the cost so I have to scrape some from my Steem Power. My online job as SEO specialist pays barely just enough to put food on the table and pay the monthly utility bills.
I have noticed that some fellow Steemers have powered down some in anticipation of an upcoming Steem price spike. Hopefully, they could be right and maybe I could take advantage of it.

So sorry to hear about this. I am sure you will find the solution and be back on your feet soon enough. And there is no shame in powering down because you need some money. I have been powering down for weeks for exactly that reason.

Wow you really should get that MRI , health and living life to the fullest as life is short , is number one priority ! I may also start powering down as it takes 3 months and if i hold it in steem like you I guess then I will be more reday then when the time comes to sell for a good price !?👍

Yes, I think so. If not, you can always put back the unneeded liquid Steem as Steem Power.
