Free Speech: Are some content creators hypocrites? Steemit can fix this!
I've been noticing that on YouTube, many of the popular alternative media channels such as [name your favorite channel here] routinely delete comments. I'm confused by this because while these people are great to listen to sometimes and often have good points, they don't like dissenting views and yet espouse the need for freedom of markets and free speech. In fact, the label troll gets used a lot to suggest that the world is against them. I think this does a disservice to the truth movement. Further some of them give stock market advice that is so clearly wrong and dangerous for the kinds of people listening that I am starting to think that they are just out for the clicks and revenue.
Why is this? I like to see people who disagree, yeah so sometimes people take it too far. But why not let the other commenters deal with that and pose the correct counter debate?
In the end, I hope that Steemit becomes a platform where people welcome diversity of opioninions. That we don't just fall down to the same ole right / left rhetoric.
If Steemit does not become a platform of debate, then it will just become an echo chamber and that would be bad. In fact I believe that Steemit should allow people dislike just as they can like something.
Its far easier to be offended by something, than it is to come up with a well thought out response

I strongly believe steemit will become like facebook
Is that a good thing or a bad thing? I never liked facebook, don't have an account, want nothing to do with them.
