Father Ramblings #012: Tokyo Disneysea Nanoblock Set

in #life6 years ago

Dear Steemians,

CJ has always been a big fan of LEGO's and I've been quite supportive of this hobby. I think it's very good for child development and a good exercise of hand-eye coordination for young children as it constantly forces them to create a masterpiece from small building blocks. We alternate between creating the figures intended in the box and using his imagination to create whatever he wants. This way, we are able to not only have a structured session with detailed instructions, followed by a session to let his creativity run wild.

When we went to Tokyo a few weeks back, we were able to buy a Nanoblock map of Tokyo's Disneysea. While Nanoblocks have the ability to get more descriptive in its ability to portray objects because it is much smaller than LEGO's and also because of the fact that the nanoblocks' bottom part of all of its pieces provide more freedom in ways to put the pieces together, it is much more time-consuming to get the project done precisely because the pieces are so small.

This project was too complex for CJ to do entirely on his own. Therefore, CJ and I would take turns either putting the blocks on the set or preparing the blocks for a particular step in the manual.

I couldn't find the box that the pieces came in, but here are a few pictures of the project!

Hope everyone has a wonderful week!
Chris
