Tianmen Mountain offers several tourist attractions. One of the most visited is a huge staircase with 999 steps leading to an unconventional cave. His nickname is "Stairs to Heaven," and the most skilful ones will take him in half an hour. The use of number 9 is not random. It is precisely this figure that is, according to Taoist tradition, a symbol of the emperor (son of heaven) and emphasizes the mystery of this place on the border of the human and divine world.
