RE: The Week Of Perpetual Partying
Wow!
I don't recall ever having a friend who was a party girl before now. Especially not a weight-lifter party girl...
Kewlllll! :D
And, as usual, the food you seem to be able to "scare up" (<-see what I did there?) for every occasion both looks and sounds incredible! Making me of course wish that I were your neighbor...
But then I would probably not be able to continue on my current path toward weight loss and utter svelteness...
And finally, though lovely in its own right, your portrait somehow just doesn't say "steampunk" to me? Maybe it's just that I'm missing the mirror-length view that would include the lacy, wine-colored, skirt, whirling to and fro... So next time, please do include the video clip? ;)
Quite glad to hear the "whirling to and fro" part, as that strongly implies that someone did not manage to over-tighten the corset... :D
Now I can do naught but wait with bated breath for the report about Jacob's fete... :) If it tops the ones already described, it's bound to be a doozie!
Ha ha! More like a purveyor of parties rather than a partaker of them! If there was a job description for my position it would be a facilitator of fun. Hmm, that doesn't sound too bad.
Lifting weights is the best. Long ago in high school times I used to lift a lot, and then having a farm required a lot of hefting over the years, but last year I went back to the gym for a weights class and totally dug it. No She-ra powerlifting, just lots of reps and muscle gainz, lol!
I should have put an obligatory j/k jokester thing by my pic. There wasn't one snapped of me in my full costume of a corset, skirt, boots, etc, so I was just being a little glib, many apologies.
And speaking of corset, I absolutely was the one in charge of lace up this year, so I was able to climb up on chairs to hang photo back drops and run around with food like a completely able to breath champ, woo!
Tomorrow I am going to whip up JT a super extra special vegan pie of gloriousness. It might even be healthy enough that you could partake in it:)
Hope all is well with you and the wife in the warm lands of the South, I am envious, it was 5 degrees the other morning...BRR!
So, you're telling me that I won't be seeing you in any of those oiled-up, totally ripped and rippled body-builder poses any time soon? LOL! Wow, there's nothing wrong with a strong woman, but I find those overdone hardbodies rather grotesque...
My upper body exercise for many years has been surfing, though I haven't gotten enough for too long now.
In the pantheon of sporting activities—heck, the pantheon of almost all activities—surfing has held top place for many years. I used to surf something like five days a week, usually on my way to work, but sometimes on the way home as well. That bulked up my chest and arms pretty nicely.
Then I hurt a shoulder doing something really stupid—base running in a softball game at a church men's retreat—and that sidelined me for quite a while. Sad thing is, baseball is way down the list in my sports pantheon; what a waste! I tripped over my own feet and face-planted, and my shoulder hasn't been the same since.
I did get back in the water after that, but in recent years I haven't been working near the beach. The pressures of life, the universe, and everything have kept me out of the water for the most part. );
But hope springs eternal! My not so nefarious grand plan is to build a custom off-the-grid home so close to the ocean I'll be able to walk to the beach every day and get back in surf-shape again, God willing. Just have to wait a bit longer for my ship to come in...
If I were in the neighborhood, I would risk one of your pies any day... Hope the JT party is grand! :D
