The things that made our day
When we had our son Vinny, My husband and I promised that we would try to surround him with positivity and joy as much as we could. But with life's daily struggles and everything going on in the world, it keeps getting harder to keep a good mood.
With that though in mind, Vinny and I are making a list of the things that made us joyful today, so that we can focus on the good times and be thankful.
Today we had a good day because:
- We got to jump up and down in lots of muddy puddles
- A lovely bus driver waved at us
- We got to save a snail from the road
- A very nice lady let us pet her fluffy dog
- We got to chat with many friendly people
- We had lunch together
- Daddy pretended to be a horse
- We learned a new word: 'Octopus'
- We found a spider in the kitchen and took him outside
- We fed the birds in our garden
- We played hide and seek
- We bought new crayons
...
We have food and we are healthy. And today, we are thankful.

Right you are! We shouldn´t look for luxurious or great things to make us happy. Just being able to get up and see the sun shining is happiness. I found your post right in time.
