It's nice to see your family out and about enjoying the fair @flemingfarm 👨‍👩‍👦‍👦


On another note, I'd be interested to know what you think about farming inside of buildings. @quinneaker wrote a post about that, and I got to thinking, if you own a large lot of land, it might be able to grow even more crops someday.

The biggest hurdle to efficiently growing food indoors is the amount of power needed to create the amount of lumens needed for the crops to grow. With the current boom in LED lighting it has given a big leg up in that area. Indoors requires hydro or soil but both most likely will require nutrients which cost as well. If a person can effectively manage the costs vs output then the venture is absolutely worthwhile.

Veritcal farming is a big sector that needs to be utilized FAR more than it currently is. There are a number of empty skyscrapers in the country and world that could become perfect vertical farms.
