Giving up on Steemit is not an option. BE RELENTLESS.

I know that some of us are frustrated. We all came here with hopes of posting a few articles and videos and striking it crypto rich.

Don't get me wrong, some members definitely hit a home run but for the majority of us, we must get to work.

This is just the beginning and I feel we are barely scratching the surface of the true potential here on Steemit.

My experience so far has been that of mixed feelings. I'm sure many of you feel the same. One of my very first articles did very well while others I thought were just as good did not do so well. You can read that post here:

But, I do understand now that money should not be the ultimate end goal here on Steemit and that I must persevere. I must continue on this journey by improving myself and my content.

One thing I can say I am grateful for is how Steemit has finally pushed me to take the plunge and start blogging, something I was always afraid of doing.

Voicing your opinions and expressing yourself through writing is not easy.

I challenge those of you who feel like giving up to keep creating. Stay involved. Do not give up.

Giving up on Steemit is not an option.

BE RELENTLESS!

The problem with the current architecture/design, is that people want to get upvotes rather than engaging in a real conversation. They want people to read their post rather than taking the time to read other's people content. I hope they will succeed in building a place for discussion insofar as this is their first goal: Create and reward conversations

I agree with you 110%. This was my problem also, and I'd be fooling myself if I said I wasn't looking for upvotes on all of my posts but I am learning and see the greater good now with the platform as a whole.

You can get spoiled on here as well. It is like going from dial-up internet, to a fast connection, and then back to dial-up. We always want more. I wanted to introduce myself. I'm Brian Phobos and I'm in Craig Grants Steem Power Mining Pool.

Also it doesn't help that Whales keep upvoting "suck-up" posts that basically proclaim how wonderful everything is. It tends to result in a tonne of similar copycat posts trying to get whale patronage. The main trending page is just a mess. Luckily now we have mini communities forming like the #craigrant tag to make it easier to find posts.

It might help to have a minimum requirement of up-votes in order to post. Might help balance between curation and posting. Also the latest HF has put some restriction on posting frequency.

Great post, now let´s get more writers/posters paid ! I'm looking for tips on authors who deserve more attention - and to be featured in Steemit Golden Nuggets this friday and new ones every friday after that! Comment on the post with suggestions!

I think once some of the posting restrictions are in place and more people try be active in the community aspect with commenting and voting, things will get better. For now, everyone's just posting posts hoping to get rich. We can all make just as much money by being involved in the discussions around the existing content.

for me videos are more fun and easy to create
