I was fortunate enough to go to Cape Town for work but could only spend two days of which the first was an entire day at the office, looking out on the side of Table Mountain with a yearning heart to be out in the sun. This photo below is the view from the offices. The photo above was taken by my friend Clinton and enhanced a bit.

Only finishing up at 6:45pm, exhausted I decided to leave the sightseeing for the next day. This was the exquisite view I had from the shops getting some groceries before heading to my Hotel. I stood there soaking up the sunset and the beauty of this majestic mountain.

The next morning I had this magnificent view from my room and was over the moon with excitement to go explore the incredible few of Cape Town from Table Mountain. On my arrival at the Cable Way, I had to discover that there were already a ton of tourists and it will take me a few hours of waiting. Knowing I did not have too many hours before my flight, I decided to resort to a cruise at the V&A Waterfront. To add to my luck, the weather changed, the beautiful sunny day became overcast.

These are the bronze statues of four influential men in South Africa.

Nelson Mandela – Our President which brought about a reformed South Africa, ending the era of apartheid, he received the Nobel Peace prize in 1993. F.W. De Klerk – He was the last president of the apartheid government, was responsible for Mandela’s Release and worked together with him to re-write the South African Constitution. The outspoken, Archbishop Desmond Tutu – He is the biggest icon for reconciliation in South Africa and received the Nobel Peace prize in 1984. Albert Luthuli – He was the first African man to win the Nobel Peace prize in 1961 and the President of the ANC in 1952.

On my way to buy some tickets for the cruise, I came across these beautiful limestone hand carved elephants and the rhino made from recycled materials.

During the cruise we encountered these birds feeding on a huge school of fish, it was quite a sight as the seals also come to join them and entertained us for quite some time.

Same restaurants and the Ferris Wheel at the waterfront. The day was over way too soon and I had to return to the airport for my flight home without going up my beloved Table Mountain with the cable cars to have an areal view of Cape Town.

These are really nice shots! always wanted to visit SA.

I promise you will not be disappointed, I have a truly beautiful country.

Looking forward to it!

Beautiful!! ...but quite crowded... :)

Yes, I feel Cape Town is over commercialised and very expensive, especially for the South Africans. The accommodation rates are double of those in Kwazulu Natal and the standard much lower. I love the warmer waters of the Indian ocean.

wow i love your pics. Keep up the good work

Wow..
Cool..
Fantastic

nice shots

Why isn't anyone commenting on your nice & informative post with a bit of history about the bronze statues. Are they too busy? ;)

Wait are those seagulls? ^u^

It is sad yukimaru but very few people actually read the posts. Thank you for your comment. Enjoy a lovely week!

Yeah, most people are so focused on crypto news & engrossed with the whales.
Then add in the bots & the automated nature we are having nowadays.
People need to look outside the box. :)

Enjoy the upcoming weekend @cherryblossom-sa! ^u^
