I tend to get 28 mpg per gallon with my Nissan Versa. It should be somewhere around 32 for the city, so I suppose that's not far off. Do you get stuck in traffic or hit a lot of red lights?
Not really. It's mostly smooth sailing between work and home taking back roads.
Lucky. I wonder how often they drive the cars to determine the mpg? I suppose the mpg number doesn't account for tire deflation or any vehicle over a certain number of years old. How much does age of the engine, parts, etc factor in? I'm certain there's a bit of 'cheating' in there somehow. I just don't know enough about cars to be able to tell how...
