Many Before And After Pictures Are Real And Inspirational Like Mike's Transformation

in #life9 years ago

I did a post yesterday poking fun at all the false before and after transformation pictures that are misleading usually in an attempt to pitch a supplement as a quick fix pill.  There are two sides to every coin.  Not all supplements are total garbage.  Certain things have been scientifically proven to work like creatine. I think that everyone would agree that caffeine does provide a real effect.  Also there really are people who have made changes in their life which have produced amazing and inspirational transformations.

It just so happened that yesterday around the same time I posted my post @mikehere posted his real transformation post.  I can understand how he was probably a little bit upset because he thought there might be a chance I was making fun of his transformation.  If you haven't seen the orginal post here is the link.

Here is the comment he left on my post after it hit the trending page.

I had no knowledge that Mike made his post and wasn't making fun of real transformations like his.  My main focus was on the level of sophistication that fitness professionals are able to fake before and after photos.  Especially in a situation where they are pretending a particular supplement was the key to their whole success.

Other commenters also did express that there are real transformations out there which I 100% agreed with.  Mike's comment really hit home considering he just happened to make a blog post at around the same time I did that was a real transformation.

My "Reverse Core Strength" should almost be on Ripley's Believe It Or Not so I am able to produce before and after pictures like this in 2-4 days.

Some people are still baffled by this and are in some ways skeptical but it is the truth.  Some people were almost fooled into thinking that in the picture on the left that I hadn't been lifting weights but the reality is I had been lifting weights consistently leading up to both pictures and pretty much have equivelent weight room strength in both pictures.

In the future I'm going to do more posts about real body transformations and getting the body you desire.  In addition to having "Reverse Core Strength"  I also legitimately have the knowledge and experience to help other people make improvements in their lives.

@mikehere makes some great recommendations on how he was able to change his life.  I'm following him and I hope you will too!

As a final thought.  I was only poking fun at the intentionally deceptive advertising that some people / companies utilize to profit.

Nice post. Like the photos. This is huge transformation. Stay healthy, Live healthy. Keep supporting others and keep spreading happiness @brianphobos

Hopefully you were able to see Mike's post and upvote it. Thanks

Creatine is one of the few supplements I have ever taken and had good results with. I injured ligaments in my back but am getting back into working out a bit. Thank you for your posts. They are inspirational and you clearly know what you are talking about.

Hope this post does very well and people learn from you and are inspired by @mikehere 's post as well

Yeah I hope the post gets more attention because my first post wasn't directed at all before and after photos out there.

Obviously not all transformations are fake - like if someone goes from 400lbs to 200lbs you can't really fake that. It's more the kind of stuff where people say "try this fitness program for 4 weeks and look at the difference". Those are the kind of before and after shots that are usually "faked" in the way you described simply because no matter what you do 4 weeks is not going to make a significant visual difference.

I get where you are coming from and mostly agree with you on that but I can make radical visual changes in a few days. Given a month I can make very sustainable differences but it isn't tied to taking a particular supplement or anything like that. I have to spend the majority of the day training, eating right, and resting. I'm going to do more posts on real world advice about fitness.

Thanks @brianphobos for the post and the shout-out. Much appreciated and I know you didn't mean anything bad. You just wanted to show people your skills ;)
