Experience being the school of hard-knocks....heres hoping one would rather learn through the study of history, literature and the Bible........however it is as you say through experience if one does not does not learn the easy route by study of lessons from history. Learn from other's mistakes journaled for our benefit
Shakespeare and the Bible are favorites when studying the foibles of mankind and of course the Greek tragedies....who can forget the lessons from Hamlet, King David, and Agamemnon and many more.
So glad you enjoyed the post. Yes....If we study history, literature and the Bible....learning the lessons of those who have gone before us.....thereby giving us a picture of the nature of mankind....we are benefitted with that sense of reality we need.
