Hardfork? I only use Sporks!
I observe a lot and tend to ignore the trending page personally but I do watch New posts and am seeing tons of posts with zero, zero , zero , zero.....Now, I hear all kinds of things about what the hardfork is going to do, don't understand half of it but it's going to be interesting regardless.
So am busting out my Crystal Ball and saying what I think some of the outcomes will be
- Randowhale with its simplicity and extremely user friendly method is much win, in fact I think it will completely dominate this "genre"....... @randowhale , also think some more incentivized things are gonna come down the pipeline
- Us little Peons are hoping to get some more love buttttt, a lot of us are going to just have to wait and see
- Power shifts....I think some are going to collectivize more and is going to be like Game Of Thrones (I call dibs on Khaleesi :P )

- The cream will rise to the top, think things will get more "sharky" but all in all feel that some new power players are on the scene
- Tighter communities which I perceive as a good thing
- The Promoted page is perhaps gonna moon and Trending with some of the usual dominators gonna wane

From what I've read, the focus is on the part-time user and encouraging adoption of the site by the new minnows. I can see the point in focusing on this segment for their is no point in building the subs list if they only go dormant when they feel discouraged. Hopefully it doesn't penalize the early adapters too much, they are the backbone of the platform.
well said........a lot of us know exactly who is doing HF and when, I like a ton of them so.....and I think the ones who were here from the beginning ain't going anywhere but def think some darkhorses are gonna gallop in from seemingly nowhere but their are certainly some other elements at play
We'll have to wait and see. I'm interested to see who the dark horses will be.

Great outlook on it. I'm excited to see what HF19 brings - i'm only a minnow (2.5 weeks on here) but I'm growing fast and really eager for this new shift.

I really like the changes coming with hardfork 19, but you're right: we'll just have to wait and see what happens. The "balance of power" could really shift.
