You are not a whiner. You have just noticed that we are living in a society where extraction the goal. Whether it be underground oil or the last bit of a person's energy, the overlords are determined to suck up every last bit of everything for themselves.
We're just the stepping stones.
I have a feeling there will be a lot of miserable people in all life's arenas when full extraction is achieved! The point that you stated is one of the main reasons that I really love the Steemit community. Everyone here is valued by their own content and output without pressure. There are things here that irritate people too, finding the negative seems to be a universal human trait, but the positives far outweigh any perceived negatives in my opinion.
Also, I really want to be the slippery, slimy moss on the stepping stones:) Hope you are having a marvelous day!

I'm just trying to hang onto the slender thread keeping us afloat day to day. Steemit is part of that plan. The Community is a delightful bonus and does serve to help with the intangibles. Both are vital and to have found them in the same place is encouraging.
