Know what YOU want!!
To build a business or website, and give people what they want… you must also benefit from it too.
Can you give people what they want?
- Have you a skill or talent that you can make money from?
- You have a talent or skill… but will people desire or even crave it?
- Is it something you can build on, in such a way that people will truly desire it for themselves?
How much will your product be in demand?
- How many people do you think will really want to actually buy it?
- Be honest now, how many sales could you make in a week?
Is it fun to do?
Here we must think of you. Because producing and selling it over a very long time, YOU must enjoy doing it! Because, if it’s your `hobbyhorse’, you more likely to succeed!
Looking ahead:
- For starter, can you make time and schedule your time, to make and produce your product?
- Is there also time for YOU to relax in? Because to produce stuff over a long period of time, you need to hand stress as well.
- When you are relaxed, you’re more likely to be able to come up with new concepts or theories that could promote you `product’ into the future.
What target are you aiming for?
Decide how much money you want to make in a month. Work out how much that will be in your working week. Divide the monthly total by 4, for a weekly target.
Also divide the monthly target by 20, to see what you should be producing per day.
Will you be able to meet the demand?
- How many items could you make and produce in a week and in a day?
- Will that be enough to cover the public’s demand?
- Can you handle the demand over a long period of time?
Considering the demand factor, how much can you charge per item? Would people be willing to pay that much for it?
Dividing the money target:
- How much will it be to make just one item?
- Labour costs involved: If you employ staff, how much will you have to pay your staff, per item?
- How much will you have to pay in electricity, to make your product, per month and per item??
- How much to package it?
- How much to deliver it?
- What about advertising and running a website?
Add all that up.
What total do you get? If you know the demand for the item, can you meet your month end target, you were hoping for?
Don’t forget there must be…
A profit margin!
- Because you need to be able to re-produce your product, to keep your business going.
- And what if you have to fix and replace machinery?
- What if you need to cover security and insurance policies?
- And if you want to grow and expand your business, you will have to take into consideration updating your machinery, hiring more staff, pay more rent for bigger premises, etc.
Aaah, but what about YOU?
- You have to eat, dress according to your business, have your own transport to get to work and run your business. And… what about your family and household obligations?
Is all the fuss and drama involved, really worth it for YOU? Because you are the one who has too run the show!
What will YOU get out of it?
- What benefits do you receive, while helping out other people, giving them what they crave, etc?
- What do you crave? Will your project or business also provide that for you?
Think about it carefully, before starting your new exciting business venture!
When you will write for others, you will get benefit out of it
When you go through each step of the questions, and making notes as you go, you get a clearer understanding of where you are in life and what you can really achieve. And if your outcome looks somewhat bleak, you can always make a few changes to get back on track.
If all the steps listed above could be taken into consideration before writing then the article or piece won't be far from being perfect. I will carefully select and adopt it while writing..
Yes, each of us adapting it to our own circumstances and abilities.
And because of that, other thoughts will pop into our minds, what else we have to consider, according to what we want to do.

Most of us labour through life, from day to day, and never take note of what we could possibly do to improve our lot in life.
Then I thought about the tutorials that I sometimes do and put them on social networks, I think that could help quite a few people and the truth is a satisfaction for me. Like everyone else here that we write for our readers.
Even though we write what we do, when blogging, we must enjoy doing it, hey! Otherwise we won't do it.
