What is the DSC neck -first part-
What is the DSC neck
DSC Neck
In the neck area there are seven spinal vertebrae ( spine ) connected together by joints that allow movement of these vertebrae. The main function of the spine is to protect the spinal cord within the spine from any injury during movement and to perform various activities. [1] is found naturally between the vertebrae of the neckThe intervertebral disk, which absorbs shock and prevents the bones of the vertebrae from getting together during the movement of the neck. The disc consists of a rigid but flexible outer layer called the Anulus Fibrosus. The inner layer is filled with gel The mucous protein, called the nucleus Pulposus, gives a shock absorber to the disk. [2]
Invertebrates are made up of eighty-five percent of the water, while the ratio is normal with age to 70 percent. It is noted that with the loss of water from the discs of vertebrae become more prone to cracking and tear, and these tablets are unable to repair themselves, because it does not contain direct blood feed. [2] Notes with the time the disks wear down and the process begins to deteriorate, as the space between the vertebrae becomes less and becomes the nerve rootsThis process is called Cervical Degenerative Disk Disease. As this process progresses, the neck becomes less flexible and the pain and stiffness of the neck appear clearer. Dyske's disease is the neck or what is scientifically known as Cervical Disk Herniation and when the disc swells out or opens up and then puts pressure on the nerve roots or spinal cord. [3] [4]
Stages of neck dyskinesis
The cartilage slide passes through four stages: [5]
Disk degeneration : Changes in the spinal disk chemical changes in age make it weaker and less absorbent, and may become thicker.
Disk Collapse : The shape and location of the disc changes so that it touches the Spinal Canal or the nerves in it. This stage is also called the Bulging Disk.
Disk Extrusion : The core of the disk, which is the internal part of the disk and consists of the material of the semi-gels penetrate the outer part of the disk, ie the fibrous loop, while remaining inside the disk.
Disk Sequestration : The core is separated from the fibroblast and moves outside the vertebral disc towards the spinal canal.
Symptoms of DSC neck
Slipped disc CERVICAL ( in English: Cervical Disk Herniation) causes pain in the neck and between the shoulders, and moves down towards the arms, hands and even fingers, and more acute pain sometimes as a result of the situation or a particular movement, the patient may feel Balkhaddran and numbness as well. If the cartilage slide presses the spinal cord, the condition is more serious and the symptoms of gait swings and difficulty in the performance of fine motor skills in the hands and arms and numbness may reach the legs. [5]
Factors that increase the risk of neck injury
There are several factors that help to cause cartilage slide: [5]
Dandruff and daily rupture of vertebral discs.
Lifestyle, where smoking, lack of regular exercise, and inadequate nutrition contribute to a poor health disk.
Chronic biochemical changes cause gradual dehydration of the disc, affecting its strength and resilience.
The bad posture of the body with the wrong body movements increases the pressure on the cervical vertebrae.
An injury or damage to the disc as in the wrong way of carrying or twisting incorrectly.
Diagnose DSC Neck
The doctor needs to know the symptoms that appeared in the patient in the previous periods in addition to the clinical examination to be diagnosed with the disease, in addition to the doctor may need to work specialized imaging tests to better diagnose the disease of cartilage cartilage . [4] [6]
The most prominent imaging tests: [6]
Imaging Magnetic Resonance MRI (English: Magnetic Resonance Imaging) ; it is the best first examination for the diagnosis of slipped disc where he can portray any neurological root of exposure to pressure due to slipped disc.
CT with myelography ( in English: CT Scan With Myelogram) ; although this test more sensitive, but is not used asfirst screening because it is consideredexamination surgically (English: Invasive Test) isneed to inject dye imaging bone tospinal canal as part of this procedure Examination.
EMG (electromyography) ; this test is sometimes used to identify or exclude other pathological conditions that can cause hand pain.
