[Whole30 Diet] Day 6 - Poonana

Lol at this breakfast banana with a side of fail.

Lunch was a little prettier.

Fried egg in ghee with fajita-style onions, red peppers and mushrooms.

Even the baby shared some!

Omg this post-nap snack was as good as cheesecake factory. I definitely ate way more almond butter than pictured.

The baby really wanted to share this with me. She also has the weird habit of spitting out apples after she's chewed them halfway. I was pretty frustrated with her blatant disrespect of vitamins and deliciousness.

Oh no, they don't get spit out onto a plate - because she's a baby. They get spit down the front of her shirt and/or onto the floor.

Sigh!

Dinner was leftover soup from Day 5. Like, four bowls. Over the course of 5 hours. Even baby likes slurping this but not eating it. She spits the chicken down her shirt.

I also ate another banana and a few plantain chips that were not pictured.

I'm feeling a bit more like my body craves physical exercise. I think if I honored that then I would already be feeling like a champion just on Day 6.

Then I remember that I've felt a bit bloated today. I've read that this is a normal symptom at this stage of a W30 diet. I'm just going to go with the flow. I can't imagine my body has realigned itself completely by day 6, but it's doing pretty good, I think! I just want to be careful not to lose weight. I think I ate plenty of fats today.

My biggest goal is better energy and elimination system health. I may contact an energy-healer for the elimination system health issue. My dreams are telling me that I have emotional issues that are tied to my sluggish digestive system. I'd like to remove the energy blocks since I'm not getting a sense from my dreams that W30 alone will do it. We shall see!

I've been skimming my dreams for their meaning lately but if anyone is interested in how dreams comment on health issues like this I can make a post about it with deep analysis. Just let me know in the comments!

Right?! I should! I have an appt today to talk to an energy healer in Seattle. I saw lots of 1:11 and 11:11's when I contacted her so think this could be a good start!

Yes! 😖 Next time, though I'm starving, I'll elaborately place almond butter into a piping bag if I want to create logos. 👍

it's okay it still made trending ;) it's not about what the food look like - its what it taste like and for me more of - if its healthy but everyone has there own thing - so let's live and let live :D

I have a friend who only feeds her baby paleo (totally no processed food) from the time she was in her womb and though she doesn't have any problem making her eat fruits and vegetables she found juicing them in a slow centrifuge juicer easier for her baby maybe it would help your baby eat healthy, too.

As for energy block have your tried EFT?

I've heard of eft and do something sort of along those lines called "cutting the ties that bind". I think I need some healer help on this stubborn issue though.

There are a lot of diets going around right now...@kiwideb is doing paleo and teaching me the desserts to make it seem less diet like ha! Winter in NY is the absolute worst for me weight wise. The rest of the year involves lots of hiking and biking and swimming...I really need to dust off my cross-country skiis, but I find it much more like work than fun anymore, I miss my twenties :(

I can't wait to try paleo dessert making! It's not allowed on Whole30 though because the goal is to psychologically break sweets addiction. I didn't think I was addicted to sweets but I'm definitely noticing how much MORE I'm enjoying fruits and am tempted to eat a ton now for their sweet factor.

Hmm, I wonder if that would be the case for me? I like desserts, but I've always been more of a cheese and salsa type of snacker :)

It feels like being in rehab but sneaking cough syrup. ^^

I might leave the dessert teaching to @rebeccaryan - her recipes are paleo food porn. Check out her coconut cream breakfast pie. I'm better on the baking.

Oh yummm. I'm actually into cooking meals, but the baking thing is all my daughter, and she is awesome at it!
