Try my workout - it can be done anytime, anywhere!

Guys, I think it’s safe to say that these days we all often find ourselves short on free time. Let's face it, we're all busy as hell!

When there are lots of important things to get done, it’s easy for fitness to take a back seat - but let’s not let that happen again. It's just as important as the other stuff in life, if not more!

While it would be awesome to think that every single one of us can make it to the gym consistently each week without fail, it’s just not always the case. Especially for those of us with families at home, irregular work schedules, limited money for gym memberships, or whatever stands in our way - all of us are faced with challenges from time to time.

That’s where it is SO helpful to have workouts at your disposal that don’t require any space or equipment, and can be done at home or on the road with nothing more than a clock for timing :)

Anytime my clients have to miss a session with me, or they go on a business trip or vacation, I always send them workouts that are adaptable and easy to complete in any environment, so that they can keep up their fitness no matter what life throws at them.

I like to get my clients a heart-pounding, muscle-burning full body workout in the shortest amount of time possible. Using principles of HIIT (high-intensity interval training) as well as bodyweight functional movements and strength work, my clients have seen some pretty incredible results in the way of slender, well-rounded physiques with plenty of shapely (not bulky) muscle.

So below is a simple yet effective workout for you guys to try! If you have injuries or pre-existing conditions, of course check with your doctor before proceeding - use good judgment and make good choices, friends!

Most of these movements might look familiar, and I think that’s a good thing! When you’re short on time and need to get in, kick some ass, and get out, sticking to the basics allows you to take the brainpower out of the equation and gets to sweating ASAP. Rely on the tried-and-true when you’re in a pinch - the fancy stuff can come later!

There are links to video demos for all the exercises if you need them, complete with silly music (enjoy!) and some videos of my handsome business partner and main squeeze (also enjoy!) teaching you how to do these moves like a pro!

I’ve also included a “hot up” for you guys to get your blood pumping and elevate your heart rate before starting the workout itself! (*Note - one of my very first clients sassily informed me that the warm ups I write “don’t just get you warm, they get you HOT! Your warm ups should be called “hot ups” instead!” I thought it was funny, so I’ve called them my “hot ups” ever since!)

“HOT UP”

Working at your own pace, complete as many rounds of this as you can in 8-10 minutes:
-80 high knees
-60 bicycle crunches
-40 squats
-20 hand release push ups

WORKOUT:

Do each movement for 30 seconds, rest for 15 seconds as you transition to the next movement.
Work your way through the list 4-6 times!
Try to keep moving the whole time, the more intensity the better!

Holy moly! that was a lot harder than it looked! haha I got through 2 sets of hot up in 13.20 minutes. with about 40 second rest in between sets. Then I was done by the v-twists! LOL I'll keep trying to do them on the days I can't go to the gym. Thanks so much for sharing these! :)

I so need to start following my diet, dont with all the junk.
