TEETH & DENTISTS!

Gosh.... I dont even know where to start!! I HATE MY TEETH!!!

I seem to have problems every time, and this time its even worse as holiday is coming up! I have just recovered from a virus and cold and now my teeth are hurting.

I had a mini surgery done in latvia, and now that tooth is inflated and I have to have a procedure done here called root canal - it costs from 500 pounds up to 1000 pounds. Its insane amounts of money, and who even has that money coming up to christmas? Or even when its not Christmas.. this totally sucks!!

I really am feeling sad and thinking of flying back home and getting my tooth fixed. Dentists are such a delicate job and you have to really trust them... and I dont. Anyone knows good dentists in London? What shall I do?

Ah I feel your pain! Dentists here in England are't the best unfortunately. I have a few Polish friends who will only visit Polish dentists here in the UK because they are apparently much better and more highly skilled! I am not sure how true this is, but I can say I have been butchered by many an English dentist lol I hope you find a good one! Good luck!

yeahh i know! its so hard to find a good one, i had an old one and he has retired several years back and now its always a gamble to have a good one :(

I had the same thing 4 years ago and was in constant agony for 3 days. The only thing that offered relief was rinsing my mouth with water. The root canal is unpleasant but it works. Basically they have to drill out the tooth making sure they remove all of the nerve which is pretty tricky. Then they fill it. It does sound s but expensive but I don’t know any dentists it London I’m afraid.

Good luck and watch all that yummy food.

yeah ive been in pain for a week now!! i have had some painkillers now! so my tooth will die?

My tooth survived. I think it’s dead but it’s drilled out inside and filled. If they don’t remove the whole root it decays and makes things a whole lot worse.

Go to the chemist and buy Anebesol - an antiseptic anaesthetic liquid. It will help with the pain until you can get something done with your tooth.

Apply the liquid directly to the pain area. I hope it helps xxx

I hate dentists too.

aww thanks sweetie , will do and check it! xxxxx

Rinse your mouth with salt water and coconut oil or aloe every day and your mouth will be healthier than ever. It is all about your oral Ph levels; acidic juices harm our teeth and gums. Best of luck and a quick recovery!

thanks!! yeah i will try!

The best I've had were all from Latvia, haha. But I know that you do have some foreign dentists in London. Look for a Hungarian! They have got a superb dentistry practice! There is also a medical centre with a staff from Baltics! Just google! I hope this helps! Also, if you fly home now, it might as well cost the same as fixing the tooth here but less travelling!

yeahh i am researching all the possible options right now! This is such a headache!

Outrageous, im really sorry.
The price is so damn high do you have any other option?

i think if i get tickets to latvia it will cost me around 200 pounds plus treatment which should be cheaper than here, but maybe overall still cheaper than UK !

I understand you very well.. Yesterday i had a little surgery and a dentist removed my tooth.. It was terrible... i'm still shocked... and i look like a hamster with my big cheeks.. Hold on there!! And look for a good dentist, you need to fix this problem as soon as possible.

ooh noo yeah i dont wanna take it out! i already have a hole there!

I had a root canal done on one of my front teeth, turned my tooth dark blue, then i got a crown. I would rather have a blue tooth then this ungly crown. I feel sorry for you...

yeah thanks, :( this totally sucks!!!! i wish i had better teeth!!!

You look like you have really good teeth.... My teeth are a mess. I probably should have gotten braces when I was younger but they're just about ok now. The disjointedness has caused problems in the past, with a wisdom tooth that needed specialist treatment to remove.

yeahh they look much better outside and they are soo shit inside :(

You could also try rinsing with baking soda (sodium bicarbonate) or try oil pulling with olive oil.

I know if a few people that did root canal, and they all regretted it. Basically with root canal you kill the nerve. The tooth dies and you will have to do other surgery to fix it later down the road, so dentist suggest this a lot because they make money off it. My wife says it's better to just take the tooth out, and it's cheaper.

yeah they have given me two options, to take it out or save it... but then i wont have teeth left! its kinda sad!!!

Hey! I'm a licensed Dental Hygienist. I think you should get your issue fixed asap before it gets worse or starts to hurt more. Honestly, you should consult a few doctors where you are and discuss a payment plan with them.

If you only get the root canal done, that means no post/crown, it should be able to hold you down for a few weeks, maybe even after the holidays and won't be as expensive. You can worry about the crown later until you gather some money.

I know how much that sucks, I'm sorry.

yeah it does thanks sooo much!!!!
