Do you believe in aliens?
Recent studies say that roughly 50% of the world believe in the existence of extraterrestrials. I am always, genuinely, curious about the actual statistics of it.
My true curiosity is not only whether you believe in them or not, but, if you do, what do you think their purpose is? Are they here to conduct experiments on us? Are they planning an invasion? Maybe we're just some type of science experiment to them? The possibilities are really endless, but, I have a fascination with opinions about them.
I know movies always seem to depict the darker, more nefarious, outcomes. I just can't wrap my brain around the idea that they would come here for war or pillage our natural resources. It seems to me that we would be nothing more than the equivalent of an anthill to them and they would easily defeat us in war. As far as natural resources there seems to be an abundance of those same resources all over the known universe. Why take ours?
What would be the scientific or religious repercussions to find out that they DO exist?

I think 50% of the world believes in extraterrestrials, but the amount of people that believe we are being visited by extraterrestrials might be lower.
I can see your point. They may be out there, but, not visiting this planet. Perhaps many species are evolved less than what we are and cannot travel this far.
There is also a chance that the multiverse is too vast for advanced extraterrestrials to cover completely, and that none of the advanced extraterrestials have visited us yet.
AND there is the chance that we are a virtual experiment in an extraterrestrial's computer 🤣

Look, sir, I personally do believe that aliens do exist. However... they are not necessarily the smartest nor the ones with big heads and two creepy eyes (which kinda cute), but... if they do exist, then I really wish they are kind of the ones we see in the movies, which are super intelligent with cool gadgets and stuff. And, most importantly! Will do fuck all humans, or something like that. Just my personal opinion, you know...
Oh, one more comment for ya, sir. The possibilities or reason for aliens to start a war is presented, but, but... why would they? For labors or resources? I dont know, but i do know that if they are that advanced to cut a very very far distance, i think they probably would rather to get their resource from any other uninhabited planet, right, right? :)
I agree with you. It seems that it would be more of a waste of time, for either war or resources.
