I don't understand this.

in #life7 years ago

There are many things in this world that I don't understand so to list them all would take far too long so I'm going to just mention a couple. One will be about life and the other will be about steemit.

So lets go with the thing I don't understand in life.
Poetry.

I just don't get it, I've read some and see that many people love to write or read it but as much as I try I just don't connect with it. I love to read, listen to music, (Lyrics are a form of poetry so put music in it and I'm good.) but I just can't get reading poetry as something I'd do. Now I know this is something that I'm missing but I don't understand why I'm not getting it.

Next up is something steemit then.
Giving your voting power to some bot so it can go around swimming through the newsfeed auto voting at 1% or less. I don't understand what this does for the votes you donate.
Do you earn curation still with such a low power vote?
Now the votes you get are a nice boost to raise reputation... or is it. Do votes of less vote power add to your reputation?

You see I don't understand this at all, totally baffled by what it does for those donating their vote, steemit and my post.

So now before I find some random picture from my PC can anyone give me some answers on these two things I don't understand.

I don't understand the steemit myself and I have run out of voting power for today but there are a lot of wonderful posts that deserve to be up voted and does it affect reputation?

As for poetry - oftentimes it is not meant to be understood but is the reflection of what is not understood

Now I'm even more confused on poetry lol

Emotions and the attempt to record them are confusing as the emotions themselves often are, so poetry is an attempt to explain and emotion or emotions, the feelings of an event, an observation

I try to avoid those emotion things, they're very silly and get in the way

I don't get into poetry, either. Most of it confuses my apparently simple mind.

Good thing I'm not alone in not getting it.

There is probably some poetry out there you will like, but if there isn't, no big deal either, you'll live.

When you write about an old horse:

He was faithful, he was true,
Now he's dog's food or he's glue

or play with Shakespeare:

Shall I compare thee to a summer's day?
Let's not, and say we did, OK?

it's poetry too, and it did make you laugh, didn't it?

Second thing: beats me, sorry.

I like the funny limerick poems sometimes, it's all the rest that have me confused.

Great post my thoughts exactly , I feel as if you shouldn't be restricted by the amount of votes you have there is lots of great posts on here that deserves votes and get missed out in the voting when people run out of their daily votes , but I do understand that there has to be a limit but the limit should be alot higher. After I have read and voted I close the app and thats done for the day so I do admittedly miss out reading lots of awesome posts that people have spent sometimes hours writing which is bad . Steemit needs something more to keep people on steemit . Great post

thanks, I've found having my vote power at 80% helps spread my votes further but still add an actual reward with my vote.
