Kindness of a Stranger: the Purse I Almost Lost

Today, I am inexpressibly grateful for the kindness of somebody I don't know and have never seen: the person who handed my purse to a staff member in my local supermarket last night, with all of its contents still intact, after I had inadvertently dropped it on the floor.

I'm sure anyone who has ever been in that situation - belatedly realising that all of their money, cards, important documents, etc, have seemingly vanished into thin air - will know exactly how terrifying it can be.

Thanks to the kind person who did the right thing and handed my purse to a staff member, I have avoided losing a whole lot of money and cards that I could not have afforded to lose. When I went back to the supermarket this morning, I really wasn't sure if my purse would still be there, and I almost burst into tears of relief when I found out that it was.

I will never know who you are, kind person, but thank you. ❤ You will never realise just how happy you made me today.
