PHILIPPINES NATIVE CHICKEN!

Philippines native chicken is the common fowl found in the backyard of most rural household. It is a mixture of different breeds and believed to have decended from the domesticated from red jungle fowl.

Native chickens is an integral part of farming in the Philippines as they are the main source of egg and meat for backyard farmers. Native chickens have always comprised close to 60% of the total chicken population of the country.

Meat and eggs of native chickens are preferred by many Filipinos over the same products for commercial poultry because of there taste, leanness and suitability to Filipinos special dishes.
