Permanent REVOLution Part 2steemCreated with Sketch.

The Ron Paul Revolution changed a lot of peoples lives, people from all walks of life came together to fight for a boring old man from Texas because he spoke truth to the establishment. His ideas were definitely not boring, they ignited a movement.

The platform he had in 2008 and again in 2012 allowed for millions of people to hear about and thousands to embrace such obscure ideas as Ending The Fed, and Blowback. He stood up and unapologetically educated Rudy Gullioni on why the terrorists really hated us, rather than the cliche idea that they hate us cause we are free. His campaign was mass educational training to a blinded America, and hundreds of thousands of young people embraced this education.

Back when I was a college student in 1999 and embraced libertarianism, there was very little excitement within the movement. There was “The Worlds Smallest Political Quiz” and very rarely would you hear about anyone except Ayn Rand as a libertarian. Information was scattered at best.

We are living in a wealth of information today. That information would not be there without this demand from people embracing the ideas of self government, and non-violent associations expressed by the libertarian movement. This demand is a direct result of the Ron Paul Revolution. We need to keep the Revolution alive, a Permanent Revolution.

Today we as Libertarians have access to resources that abound to help educate, and challenge peoples political views. They are at our disposal. Turn someone on to one podcast, then another. Share books with people, challenge their beliefs about government. Make for yourself a platform that will change hearts and minds.

The Permanent Revolution I talk about is the mass education needed to make people realize that blind faith in the state is not going to solve the worlds problems. The state is violence, and a monopoly of force. That is it. If we want to live in a non-violent society, one that proclaims mutual respect among people, we should educate people in every way possible, including on a political stage, against statism. Like Ron Paul we can unapologetically proclaim freedom to all!

Bitcoin gave us an avenue to connect the world financially, now all we need is the nash equilibrium of politics to spread like wildfire. “A few words will explain this. Natural rights are those which appertain to man in right of his existence. Of this kind are all the intellectual rights, or rights of the mind, and also all those rights of acting as an individual for his own comfort and happiness, which are not injurious to the natural rights of others.” Thomas Paine Rights of Humankind

I really do believe bitcoin and blockchain can be a way to end a lot of governance in our lives. People have a “govern me” mindset that we need to work to educate people against. When they say “we” need to do “this” or “that” it really just means “the government needs to pass a law to make this happen”. There is so much uncertainty in trusting the people acting freely to solve problems, but experience will show that people do solve them outside of government. I think when people just outsource the responsibility in their minds it puts them at ease, assuming the people in charge will get it done. 4 years later they are still waiting, and another person comes along with similar empty promises. Permanent Revolution means continuing to challenge the status quo constantly, challenging their faith and hope in government, and laying out the reality that the only moral way to live is people interacting freely, and non-violently.
