Hello friends!

In the previous message, I promised to tell you about a place called Calpe. It's pretty close to my house and so I come here often to visit a few of my favorite supermarkets. But this place is worthy to come here specially to visit the Natural Park of Penyal d'Ifac.

The Penyal d'Ifac is a massive limestone outcrop emerging from the sea and linked to the shore by rock debris. It has a height of 332 meters and is attached to the coast by just a small tongue of land, creating a very unique landscape and one of the most photographed of this part of the Mediterranean. It is home to numerous rare plants and over 300 species of animals, and a nesting site for colonies of birds.
From the foot of the mountain to the upper observation platform about 2 km of the road. I do not advise you to go there without sports shoes, caps, water and good physical shape.

The stroll begins at the information middle, and progresses up the north aspect of the rock. Along the trail are eight designated factors of curiosity, together with a number of scenic overlooks providing gorgeous panoramic views over Calpe.

On the finish of the winding pathway, hikers will encounter a tunnel that passes by way of Penon de Ifach, exiting on its northeast side. To proceed by way of the tunnel, you will want appropriate footwear.
The pathway from the exit from the tunnel along the north eastern slope is not well-maintained.

It is a paradise for ornithologists, botanists and climbers. Have you seen my previous post with flowers and lichen? I took it there!
But today I went up to the tunnel late at night and did not go any further to the top. A couple more shots and go back home!
