I grew up with dreams of having a simple, modest home with lots of flowers, fruit bearing trees and vegetables, in a large parcel of land in a city.
I know that this ideal is ordinary and commonplace in many areas of the United State and very attainable for many.
But it is a steep dream for me by any standard if the property is was located in the San Francisco Bay Area.
In my heyday at 26 years old, I bought my first home and lived that dream for 11 years.
My first home was, to me, a bit of paradise.
This was the front yard. I planted every flower, plant and tree that you see here.

This was the house when I moved in.

Hahaha, it was a dream come true for me! But the dream lives on in different forms as in other places as well. I love my new home now too! This here, is for me, a different level of sharing. It feels great to be able to share my reality to people dear to my heart and friends whom I will never meet. I have a beautiful life, and very grateful for it. This past week is very healing for me. Sometimes, I get so engrossed with minutia, I forget all the blessings of the past, the present and the many more to come. Yes, and that is not extraordinary or unusual at all here. Four of my friends bought their first homes at the same time. two of them got townhouses and the two other bought condos because of the lifestyle they wanted. I still recall how they tried to discourage me from buying this property. I was scared making the decision, especially because of the size of the property, and the work needed to get it to how I wanted it. If one has a chance and opportunity to live his/her life's dream, I say: GO FOR IT!!!
Wow... Here that kinda stuff is extraordinary, I live in a small town, yet everything around here quite expensive... I never meet anyone buying their own house in their 26 years old. Even there are many people who stay with their parents after their marriage.

Yes, and I am building so many fonder ones in my much more modern and bigger home, hahaha! This time... it does not have a large backyard. Been there, done that! And I leave it all to the gardeners now to maintain the yard.
