the Dniester River

I am very lucky with the place of residence! On one side of me are the Carpathians, on the other hand - the Dniester River!

I really love the Carpathians, but the Dniester also amazes with its volume and beauty!
The length of the river is 1352 km, the area of the basin is 72.1 thousand km².
The river originates in our, Ukrainian Carpathians on the slopes of Mount Chtyyevka and flows into the Dniester estuary, which is connected to the Black Sea.

I found in my archive a couple of photos from July 25, 2005! Then I, with friends, went fishing for two days. We caught little fish, but not for this I went ... Me, even then nature was interested! Leaving the fishing rods on the beach, I took a camera (then I did not have an SLR, but was an Olympus C-5060) and went to take pictures and enjoy the views.
But, nevertheless, the fish for fresh-soup were enough. We cooked it and enjoyed the food on the shore. Always eating in nature is much more delicious than at home! The next day we met the dawn and again with fishing we were unlucky ... But, we are not very upset, because you can buy fish, and unforgettable moments spent with friends in nature - never!

The Dniester is a beautiful river with unique plants and wildlife! On its banks a canyon was formed, forests grow.

In these photographs, I showed only a small part of this great river. But not a single photo will convey the volume and atmosphere of events ...

Мне очень повезло с местом проживания! С одной стороны от меня Карпаты, с другой стороны – река Днестр!
Я очень люблю Карпаты, но Днестр тоже поражает своими объемами и красотой!

Длина реки составляет 1352 км, площадь бассейна — 72,1 тыс. км².
Река берёт начало в наших, Украинских Карпатах на склонах горы Чентыёвка и впадает в Днестровский лиман, который соединён с Чёрным морем.

Я нашел у себя в архиве пару фотографий с 25 июля 2005 года! Тогда я, с друзьями, поехал на рыбалку на два дня. Рыбы мы наловили мало, но не ради этого я ехал… Меня, уже тогда интересовала природа! Оставив удочки на берегу, я взял фотоаппарат (тогда у меня еще не было зеркалки, а был Olympus C-5060) и пошел фотографировать и наслаждаться видами.
Но, тем не менее, рыбы на уху нам хватило. Мы ее приготовили и насладились едой на берегу. Всегда еда на природе гораздо вкуснее, чем дома! На следующий день мы встретили рассвет и опять с рыбалкой нам не повезло… Но, мы не сильно расстроились, потому что рыбу можно купить, а незабываемые моменты, проведенные с друзьями на природе – никогда!

Днестр – красивая река с уникальными растениями и животным миром! На его берегах образовался каньон, растут леса.

На этих фотографиях я показал только маленькую частичку этой великой реки. Но ни одна фотография не передаст объем и атмосферу событий…
